the last month of my life has been More Exciting Than Usual so I haven't got much done but things are getting back on track? Today I:

watered all the plants

made grapefruit ginger soap for my Patreon & Soap of the Month people

& took pictures of the progress I've made on my tiny house so I can write a blog post about em

I still need to write the post, order more soap backstock boxes, & wrap a bunch of soap. Little by little!

I have managed all my weekly creative tasks! The art was a profile for an oc of mine.
And I created a music track with a goal in mind: Music to use in chase segments of a game.
I call it "Chaser" because I am good and creative at naming things.
General consensus is that I did well at this!

I'd also signed up to a free fashion design course. The intention was that I'd use that to design cool clothes for my ocs, though so far I've learned that the French, particularly Paris, have a stranglehold on the fashion industry.

Literally you cannot say your clothes are Haute Couture, which is considered the highest standard, unless you employ at least twenty staff in a workshop in Paris and have France judge four designs of yours a year.

I thought maybe the course creator had a huge bias towards French fashion but a friend of mine said that it's not just them.

But ah well it's a free course and if it turns out not to provide me what I want, I can just drop it.

I literally follow too many podcasts. I listen to them while I art and work and play certain grindy games and I do not do enough of those to keep up with the rate new episodes are released, nevermind catch up to all of them.

Though at least in my case a good chunk of them are less than 30mins so it's entirely possible that you have more to listen to timewise... and that's only going to get worse.

I have possibly ordered the soap boxes! But the website stopped loading partway through & I don't want to try again right away because I don't want to accidentally too many soap boxes!

I fell into a racism-in-fandom rabbit hole of blog posts and twitter threads and read for like...3-4 hours, which definitely did not feel like productive creative work but I have to hope is part of that action-as-self-education thing so many people have been talking about these days. Slow, steady self-bettering work.

Beyond that, I have a couple projects in the works, though I did not actually work on any of them today. I have a full first draft of a story that's sitting on the back burner to stew for a bit so I can come back to it with fresh eyes - and I wrote a little snippet for a follow-up to a collaborative project last night, which will similarly sit for a little while.

Also! I was introduced to this lady-elf character maker and I have made SO MANY ELVES. (one of my OCs has at least 5 different clothing/expression/background combos now.)

I am a morning person, but only after I've had my coffee and a chance to wake up all the way. My shift starts at 8 so 7 is right in the middle of "waking up completely" time.

I finished this Playing Cat Amigurumi, and also this Dragon Silhouette Applique. Both were for challenges in Nerdopolis, my crafting tournament I take part in.

I have some other projects for Nerdopolis in the works, but I don't know if I'm going to have time to get them done because my mom commissioned me to make an elephant blanket for a baby shower she's going to. Last night I worked on it for an hour, and got only two motifs done so it's going to take some considerable work to finish it on time.
