It has been a very Lay In Bed And Do Nothing sort of week, but I did break through the wall I was at with my current story. Didn't actually get that many words out, but I successfully started the scene and started figuring out the bit I was struggling with.

No woodworking this week. Haven't been able to make it out to the garage long enough to get anything done. One of the tools I was waiting on arrived though, so I'm excited about that. And I did calibrate it so I guess that's something.

current stuck point on firelight: let's do the "V-J in Times Square" only 100% consensual re both kissing and photography and trying to modulate the passion level for setting and audience bc these characters can't get lost in it like they want to (for fear that if they do, another previously overlooked threat will jump them while they're distracted) but don't want to appear like they're concerned about any further threats (bc if they've actually run out of enemies for now then no point worrying the onlookers) and do want to get attention off their friends but maybe not their families' attention even though the two of them have a total of five siblings watching in person and probably two or three parents watching on the news. oh and the only previous time I can remember writing these two characters kissing, it was, for reasons, brief.

yes that's too many moving parts.

on the other hand, the bits after the kiss should be easier than I thought, I just have to remember that the best place to hide something is in plain sight. which is to say, I don't need to figure out how to cover for the very visible putting up the illusion after all, not if I have a good enough excuse for putting up an illusion, and then I can just leave the illusion up and have the very visible dropping the illusion be part of the illusion while the illusion is serving its actual purpose of providing cover for people to get offstage unnoticed.

I've been having a really hard time lately because my ADHD is keeping from getting my paying job done so I can't do anything else and I'm super anxious and depressed. And I don't want my parents to know because they'll worry and try to help and just stress me out more.

Gonna try to get caught up tomorrow.

Last week I did All The Driving, and got to see my kids a bunch, yay! Am frantically seeking job, but that didn´t combine well with being out of town and beyond cellphone reception. Hope to get back on track this week.

I´ve written a fair amount of fic bits, but it´s all disconnected pieces of self-indulgent AUs. Still would like to post.

Friday is my birthday. Hoping to get a fundraiser up for chirla.org. Doing it thru FB seems easy but I hate the Legal Name Internet, but also I want to share it there, but moreso in other places...

Anyway, if u donate, I will write u a drabble/wee ficlet if u want.

Just watched the Pose S3 premiere, very much an emotional rollercoaster, mostly in a good way. There were weak parts and weird pacing and an actor who got written out due to family tragedy, but overall it was pretty amazing.
