Just Create - Zucchini Edition

Vegetable or queerplatonic term? You decide!

It's the weekend again! How did that happen? How are you doing? What are you up to? How are you feeling?

If anybody is interested, I'm doing body doubling sessions today and tomorrow from approximately 1 - 3pm PST. DM me for a link - it's on Jitsi Meet, which is an open-source free video service like Zoom, that requires no account or app. I'm going to be doing pomodoros (25 minutes of work, 5 minute break, repeat) to try to get some writing done

I had the week off, so I did some decluttering and a lot of generally hanging out doing nothing. I am SO ready to retire.

I made a small amount of progress on the test t-shirt. I am using a pattern and the instructions continue to be BREATHTAKINGLY terrible. I have started annotating the instructions IN INK, complete with snarky comments.

I have been having a bad brain week, so I've mostly been cross stitching instead of sewing. One nice thing about cross stitch is it's very hard to screw up so badly you actually ruin it - it's pretty easy to back out misplaced stitches, or remove them later, and redo them. Not every craft comes with an Undo function!

I made some good progress decluttering. I can actually WALK INTO my walk-in closet, for the first time in years.

Honestly the biggest thing I accomplished this week was 2 calls to (separate) doctors' offices. One was just to find out WTF happened to my appointment and reschedule. The other was to a specialist, cancelling my follow-up appointments and leaving a VERY detailed message about why I won't be coming back. Why are specialists such assholes? This isn't even the first doctor I've encountered who is unprofessional and a bully. But this is the first one I've stood up to.

I know that last one doesn't sound super creative but I'm proud of myself. May I never have to do that again.
