I've gotten several fics posted to Rainbowfic and my blog and I'm working on some character art of Rita Donville, a gang leader who the next fic is about (also the reason I posted about Nursgil, because that's her religion, but the religion isn't bad)

I've got most of the worldbuilding notes done and part of the poem done for my last Poetry Fishbowl entry. After seeing several references to worldbuilding classes in my Terramagne setting, I wanted to write down how they actually work.

Hello it's been a while since I last talked eh?
Well, I'm taking part in sunshine_challenge and I've done a couple pieces, one I did over the last week so here it is.

Been a bit burned out and sick this year.

I used my tiny artistic abilities to do something satisfying about an obnoxious fandom development!

I finished the Spring installment of the Art Nouveau cross stitch series. I'm somewhat irritated about some of her color choices - there are 2 shades of yellow-orange that are basically indistinguishable. That part of the colour scheme is repeated in Autumn (which I am greatly looking forward to doing because it has grapes with SEVERAL SHADES OF PURPLE) so I've picked out some possible options and started a test stitch to see if any of those look better.

Meanwhile, that left me with no WIP to take on vacation (4 day road trip with my husband to Sequoia and Kings Canyon). I had a Pusheen cross stitch kit I'd picked up a while back so I threw that into my bag. UNFORTUNATELY the kit came with 2(!) needles... both of them wildly inappropriate sharps with tiny eyes that are nigh impossible to thread with ONE strand of floss, much less 2. (I also have issues with the instructions and intend to write a review.)

I persevered and double-stitched with a single strand. I got most of one design finished, and it is awfully cute. The kit came with 3 designs and enough materials to make up all 3, so that was nice. I will probably finish this design using the same technique but with a proper tapestry needle. I'm not sure if I will do the other two or not.

My plan is to find the equivalents in DMC (the "nice" embroidery floss) and use waste canvas to stitch Pusheen onto a shirt or a bag or something. And/or to alter one of the supplied designs to have Pusheen holding a cross stitch project instead of a donut. We'll see if I actually get around to doing either of those.
