It's the weekend again! How'd that happen so fast?

I've spent most of my energy this week taking care of the cats (they're both fine). Spooky got a tooth out and had a couple of days of not eating, so I went and got her different wet food to try. She's eating well now, but still isn't allowed dry food. Heidi had a cyst removed from her tummy and is fine but has to wear a cone or recovery donut, which every now and then she manages to get off. Since Spooky can't have dry food, we can't leave any out and so I have to feed them more often than we usually would.

But I also built a brick astronaut (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09V57938J?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details - the sitting one with a hand up) and I signed up for a bunch of games in September on the One Shot Club discord, both playing and gm-ing. I'll get to play Monster of the Week where before I only gmed it!

This week I finished up a new coloring page:

I also made what I call "graham cracker pudding", which is basically layers of graham crackers, pudding or yogurt, and a fresh fruit, stacked together in a bread pan. It's really easy and really tasty.

I'm currently working on creating some nice, clean laundry.

I have been pecking at the Fabulous Women in History mega cross stitch. I've just started row 3 (of 3!). I'm stitching on linen and I have it in a big scroll frame. The fabric is SO pulled out of shape. I spent probably 20 minutes rejiggering the piece in the frame and 10 minutes actually stitching.

I've attacked the Evil Stretch V-neck again. I seem to have more (and bigger) scraps than I'd thought. Today I cut some strips to do a test run of the cheating overlap one... and then the power went out! It was light enough to finish cutting but I couldn't press them. Sigh. Happily Monday is a holiday where I live so I have 2 more days of weekend to try again. (Even better, the power came back before sunset.)

I'm analyzing what clothes actually look good on me, and also considering doing alterations and embellishments as a compromise between buying ready-to-wear (at the mercy of the marketplace) and sewing my own (which realistically very little of this is going to happen). I have a bunch of boxy Hawaiian shirts that I may use for practicing tailoring.

I'm doing a lot of prep baking for the week ahead and really enjoying it due to my new stand mixer! I've made potato buns yesterday. Today I've got sandwich bread dough is rising and chocolate chip cookies chilling in the fridge.

I've also got a hat I've been knitting on. It's a stranded knitting pattern with 3 colors. I'm using black, yellow & purple. I'm on purple and at the decreases.
