I am trying to finish a set of knitted Clangers as presents for family members at the weekend; and i have a work commission to start (mending a broken zip) which I suspect is going to be deceptively difficult. But I just learned that at least some zip problems are a mechanical failure of the slidy bit, and you can restore it with a pair of pliers. Fingers crossed!
