I feel like I've had enough human contact recently that I don't want to leave the house again until at least January. Sadly we keep finding things to go shopping for.
I am greatly looking forward to some time off later this month. I expect there will be much quilting practice in my near-ish future.

Good luck with future quilting :D

But, haven't made progress with other personal projects :/ ended up overthinking everything & got way too frustrated. Took a break for the weekend to hopefully come back fresh haha...

I'm still in a lot of pain from my shoulder. But I'm trying to get some things done. I'm going to go to bed early tonight and see if that helps.

Tonight was sewing buttons onto a jacket. The loops for them are next. Then the pocket will be considered - the lining is due a replacement and might be expanded, but that means cutting into the jacket.

It's been such an amazing writing process, never have I had such a streamlined, smooth writing experience. The writer's drop has only set in now and I'm beginning to drag a little, mostly due to tiredness and holiday stress.
I'm doing an "editing week" now where I take two chapters a day and edit them in depth, which means I'll be done by the weekend (the novel is 13 chapters long). I'm really satisfied with what I've done so far. It's a historical novel, taking place in 1920s France with LGBT+ elements.
So far, the summary goes like this: She wanted to be on her way; Paris seemed as good a direction as any. When her distant older brother, Charles, involves her in his plans of ensnaring his wealthy business associate's heir, Armand Dubois, and when Charles' girlfriend, the enticing Italian actress, Eloisa Paolo, also enters the picture, Sylvie Gallard has to slowly realize that wanting to be on your way somewhere can land you in many different places.
I look forward to working with this novel for the next couple of months.

I hope your shoulder feels better. Try not to over do it. <3

Plan for this week is to reply to the letter which arrived today, resend another letter which was returned to me today and finally make more progress on that looong reply I have been working on since, ahem, September. >.>
I am committing to the plan that if I do not write at least an hour on the long reply this week, I am going to ask that penpal if she is fine with me typing the rest of her letter, on the theory that that would be faster.

- First scene of a longer original fiction piece, my very first original fiction.
- More on the story within a story for my current long Lore Olympus fanfic. I didn't intend the story to get a bit sad in the middle, but fortunately Kid Ares is extremely resilient in spite of his current travails.
- Medicare Part D enrollment changes, which are less exciting and more stressful.
Currently we're dealing with a lot of unhappiness and PTSD. I know we'll feel better once the laundry we need to do is started.
I hope to get more writing on the fanfic done so I can get the chapter out and assauge my guilt on that front.

Got in a preliminary blocking in of two pieces actually -- one partial, one more complete! Hopefully can get more done so we can hit the 400 Listfest January deadline.
Anh got in one piece for Cyan, aj working on one piece for Warm Heart, and one of us will need to figure out something for Queer Magic!

If you haven't seen it yet, I do the Poetry Fishbowl on the first Tuesday of every month. Everyone's welcome to come give me prompts, enjoy the crosstalk, and watch for the freebie to go up. January will be "Short Forms."
>>Good luck finishing those poems up. Also, getting to post a bunch of stuff must be satisfying!<<
Thanks! Yeah, it's fun to post stuff. I put up another tonight about a library. Gotta love my supervillains, they have a huge banned books section and the library charter forbids censorship.
