I've been working on getting stuff up on my Toyhouse - https://toyhou.se/silvercat17 - and currently I'm working on getting Wildheart done to go with Wildstreak.

I'm also finally putting together the doors for my 2nd Pax cabinet. Ikea has completely changed how they go, so they'll look different (I think they'd look the same if I was using Ikea's panels instead of clear plexi), but it's fine

the debate between "hey if I fix these last couple details I could post this chapter today and maybe get comments and that'd also let the artist I commissioned post that and get admiration" and "I said I wasn't posting this chapter till I had fairly solid drafts of both chapters after it and I meant that"

I got my sabbatical officially approved at the university this week so there's that.

I hadn't heard of Toyhouse before; it looks like it's set up for roleplay and character creation/adoption? Seems interesting (in an "I don't know if it's necessarily my cup of tea, but learning more intrigues me" kind of way).

Part one of moodthemeinayear is wrapping up this week, with our first break week starting on Monday! The week after that, Part two will begin, with secondary, tertiary, and quaternary moods. That's just the "official" schedule, though; anyone is welcome to join in at any time, and start with any mood! (For example, I'm working waaaaay ahead, in part so I can take a break when I run a fest in the summer, and in part because I'm just having too much fun to wait!) I'd love if more people joined in, even if it's just as cheerleaders.

I did one of those art classes with a friend where they supply wine and snacks while you learn a thing. It was fun, and I knew I was not going to feel like I had to be good at it, because it was a portrait class. Honestly though, it made it far more enjoyable than if I felt like I really had to try.

Today we're going back to de same place to do clay pendants.

I'm finishing up the teddy bear quilt. The last step involves hand sewing the binding and I HAAAAAATTTEEE IT. So I'm also watching videos about how to do the binding totally by machine. And contemplating whether I have the organizational oomph to make clothes for the bear.

On Wednesday I'm going into town for a dentist appointment, so I also plan to check out one of the local quilt shops, and then commit sacrilege by going to JoAnn to buy fabric for the memory quilt backing. (What? The whole quilt will be made from shirts. The backing should be shirting as well.)

The latest thing I made was a batch of ,a href="https://www.sweetandsavourypursuits.com/oatmeal-coconut-cookies/">coconut-oatmeal cookies. Very successful! My partner told me not to make them better because it's already too hard to stop eating them.

My next big project will be the Poetry Fishbowl on Tuesday, February 6 with a theme of "Twisted Genres."
