Interesting concept! And working on the low-effort stuff is still creative work.

Gardening is time-sensitive, knitting less so. Sounds good!

Lol that is very specific imagery and one I can relate to doing when I was a teenager.

Thanks for asking! It's going to be primarily about a hack of the DS games (specifically the ones set in Forget Me Not Valley). I don't want it to be a haunted game story, it's more about one artist deciding to take these very cute installments, take the more mature tone from A Wonderful Life and then make it even DARKER in the name of maturity. There will probably be more emphasis on the canon's creepier characters like Witch Princess and Daryl...... Thematic subjects is adults with childlike interests but I have to stop there and not spill the commentary or it'd reveal a lot of the spooks! Lol

Good luck with your story.

Oo, I've been thinking about submitting to Pseudopod

Okay well you have me interested! I didn't play any of handheld ones, but A Wonderful Life was my first HM game :] A lot of the quirks and strange things in that game, even compared to other HM games always drew me back to it. It would make a good setting for a darker story for sure.

Here you go! https://www.pigeoncoopdesigns.com/pages/book

I happened upon it in my local bookstore a while back. :D It looks like a bunch of other sellers have it.

Personal recc, do NOT go with Books-A-Million. I apparently bought something from them once and now cannot stop their damn emails for the life of me.

Thank you!! This is delightful. And I appreciate the warning - I defend my inbox with my life these days and that would drive me absolutely NUTS.

Happy stitching!

I've been making mine with locally foraged plants, except for the fern that I bought. Not all plants -- even all mosses -- will thrive in a terrarium. Some of my moss died in the first terrarium but the rest is still going.

I find that it helps to get some bits of a live ecosystem in the jar. Wet leaf litter, worm castings, a chunk of rotten wood, that sort of thing. It brings in organisms that help balance the system. Plus I purposely gather pillbugs, a couple of earthworms, tiny millipedes if I can find them.

I may also try making a terrarium with tropical plants. There's a store with an excellent selection and they have a glass cabinet with plants that like humidity.

This was a tropical plant but the power had gone out and the cold did it in this winter.

Getting pill bugs is easy enough around here (I love those things). I'll have to do a little more research before I try again
