I wanna try starting a project to expand the universe of Splintered Fate, the most recent video game in the TMNT franchise. I love the game's story, characters, and lore very much, but its universe isn't very developed compared to other versions of the turtles since it is a standalone video game. Ergo, I'd like to try and explore other possibilities within its established cast/setting while adding new elements both original to the franchise and of my own design. Biggest struggle is that it's incredibly niche and thus I don't have many people to talk to about the established lore and how to elaborate on it, even among friends, haha.
Got the chance to watch the Superman movie from this year last night. I also poked a bit at Code Lyoko recently and am getting the weird urge to rewatch Cybersix again.

Code Lyoko!! I somewhat remember watching that show for a quite a while. I liked it and might want to rewatch some of the episodes someday. It's been years. I remember getting curious about this show through an old RP writing buddy who wrote as an AU of Jeremy. I really liked how she wrote about him, and we had fun plotting the interaction between her interpretation with my muse of Dexter Morgan (from the book series, not the TV show) so long ago. ...I'll have to reread those scenes to remember the character clearly.

Haha, it's not a series. It's a video game developed by a team called Super Evil Megacorp. The stories and characters take a lot of inspiration from the IDW comics, but it is treated as its own separate universe and includes quite a few references to other iterations such as the 1990s movies and 2003 animated series. The only problem is that it being a standalone video game means very little about the world is known outside what's stated within its actual plot (ex: Splinter having the "Hamato Yoshi mutated into a rat" backstory), so I basically took one look at and it was like "My city now."
The good news is that the entire English version of the series is available to watch for free over on Youtube! Just look up something "Code Lyoko Episode 1" and it should be one of the first results

Creative freedom, yaaaaaay! I'm currently seeing and imagining the personalities slowly developing with two cosmic horror types of monster characters through each song I finish--to go along with the amazing vocals they have.
Oh cool, the show's on YT! I'll keep this in mind, thank you. ^^
