You've been very productive! Have fun with making the costume!

I have a friend who's been very into tarot. She's had a side job in tarot reading for others for quite a while.

Computer keyboard customization too? Neatooooo~

I finished a fic I cannot talk about and it's driving me insane!!!! I wish I could talk about it so I could say how good it is in detail.

Anyway, today we write another fic I cannot talk about yet

After I got editor's notes on my novella, I've worked approx. 40 hours on fixing it up and improving it. I think we're finally getting to that point where I need another set of eyes again to do more, so I have an agreement with my editor that I can send it to him for a second reading and when I've gotten the notes back from that, it will be ready to be published (self-publishing route). I need it to be ready for Dec. 1st, as it's an advent calendar for my girlfriend. It's honestly such a race against time, I can't even...

I ordered a cover over Fiverr and that, at least, has been a swift process. I'll get the finished result tomorrow. Then I am that one step closer to being ready.

But I love this story a lot, having had to deep-dive into it like this, has only made me appreciate it so much more. I just hope my girlfriend will love it, too.

It's been a while since I've been very active on Dreamwidth, oh man. Trying to get back in the swing of things.

I just completed and posted my first ever Big Bang! The Transformers Big Bang was a great, well-organized first experience for me. Ending wordcount was 57k. Previously, the largest completed work I'd ever posted was less than 14k.

I have been starting WIPs across many fandoms like there's no tomorrow and have been struggling to finish them (a mix of falling in love with concepts/premises but not knowing what I want to do with them & in some cases having a vision but not having the focus to follow through,) and it looks like having deadlines helps a bit. I'm still kind of overwhelmed by everything I have started, and how to finish them all, because most of them are things I want out in the world someday...

Speaking of deadlines, there is a multifandom Polyship Week on tumblr Nov 19-26, and my next (self-imposed) deadline is going to be to wrap up my first draft of a FFVII poly fic I have started, to post the first chapter on the 26th, 'free day.' Fingers crossed.

This sounds amazing, and what a fantastic advent idea!

Glad you think so. We have a tradition of writing each other advent calendars each year and this year was my turn. It's the first time I'm getting it printed as an actual book, though.

I MADE APPLE PIE this morning, before hockey. In fact, it's still in the oven. This is an accomplishment for me.

I've also written! I can't believe I finally found a way for the words to come back.

I was working on a cowl and was about half way done. Then I realized I messed up the stich and I had to rip it all out.

Well the yarn is balled back up. And the project is in time out for a day or so.

I did some meal prep today too. I cooked some chicken for tacos and made some salsa. I have some dough proofing for a loaf of bread.

Maybe when you're finished, or got a lot of chapters written in, you could share with us!

Happy writing!

Yummy! Save a slice for me, lol.

Congratulations on overcoming writer's block. Now that you've got the drive to write again, go, go, go!!

That must be frustrating. To be halfway done on a project only to realize that you'll have redo at least one part of it.

Good call! A break before getting back at it will help you recharge, and then improve.

That meal must have been very tasty!

Transformers. Robots in disguiiiise--

Congratulations on the accomplishment!

I can relate in a way. I have all these cool and exciting ideas in my head, some of them I've never tried before. I'm surprised I was able to get 4 music tracks done yesterday. That's a new record for me!

What are you working on? What have you finished? I have been making progress on my experimental Glitchcore album. (If you don't know what that music genre is, think old video game music--the music itself usually fast paced, and the energy dialed up to 11! It's like an 8-bit/chiptune seizure all by itself.) I also been back into making songs overall for my cosmic horror game characters that have their "music careers" on Suno. The Xel'lotath Vampire brought his A-Game, for example--and I still can't get over how amazingly good and scary this song is. When I first heard it after completing everything (lyrics, writing the songstyle and mood, and doing a bit of section editing), I HAD CHILLS. It's becoming even cooler with how enthusiastic and open my character muses have been towards this album. Currently, the scary ones have started to take over for a while...

I finished a fun first time thing of doing a character song response to good feedback of a comment. And I got inspired by this friend to try to lyrically do a song about how Ms. Black Guardian's magic works--all the while influencing the same friend to embrace his inner madness from the moment she sends her eerie green light at him. Turned out pretty good! I'll want to do something like this again, for sure.

What have you been watching or reading? I recently got the 9th volume of The Promised Neverland manga, and have yet to start reading it. I'm sure it'll happen soon, once the hype and excitement over my new music settles!

I haven't really watched much of anything recently. Parts of the Rat Race movie with my mom, yeah. Other than that, nothing.
Edited (Making one final edit here because I came up with that J track to my Glitchcore album; J is for Jauk! Digital dawdling...) 2025-11-10 13:12 (UTC)
