All right, how many of y'all made really serious resolutions about getting more stuff done this year?

How many of y'all have fallen off the wagon already?

You'd think they'd make the things with seatbelts.

ANYWAY who's getting stuff done this weekend? Who's staring at the calendar making distressed sounds? Who's given up & taking a nap?

I'm glad I set myself a flexible sort of rule. I have a few sewing projects I'm working on, and if I don't get around to them in a day I try to make up for it by doing something smaller, like a new makeup look or doodling in my journal. Sometimes I even count a new recipe as my "making something" for the day.

Yeah, I suspect flexible rules like that work better for a lot of people -- they definitely do for me. When I've tried more rigid rules like 'every day!!!' the first time I miss I just give up.

I would totally count both doodling & a new makeup look as making something -- especially the makeup, that is High & Arcane Art from my perspective.
