Steeking is when you knit colorwork in the round with a few extra stitches in one spot, then you cut your knitting to produce a flat piece. It was kind of scary, and I only did a so-so job, but I'm still proud of myself for accomplishing it!
Also been working on a crocheted sweater. Here's the pattern page: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gansey-sweater My yarn is a dark rose heather in color. Pretty! My swatch indicated that the yarn fluffs up when washed, quite a bit. So as I'm working on the sweater it looks holey, but those holes should mostly disappear with the first wash.
Otherwise, I've been playing a lot of video games. I managed to craft an orchestrion for my house in Final Fantasy XIV and I'm very excited about it. I basically just did crafting for a month in order to level up enough to make it. Didn't party for that entire month! I'm now back to partying since my crafting goals were met.
