Well the original Yume Nikki was last updated in 2007 and it's a simple 2D game made using RPG maker. If your computer is too old to run it, you've taken AMAZING care of it. Here, have a direct link to the translations.
And Doki Doki Literature Club is, while a lot more recent, still a visual novel witout voice acting so it might be okay? Though it's jus tthe sort of thing to use features older pcs don't have.
