Just Create - Sunflower Edition

Hey, it's another Saturday, which means it's time to Just Create!

What are you working on? What have you gotten done? What are your plans? How are you feeling? What do you need support or encouragement on?

Let us know, encourage others, and then get working!

Remember, while I'm encouraging people to exercise the creative parts of the brain, you can create cleanliness, order, and peace of mind too by doing laundry, picking up, or whatever other day to day things you need to do that.

Just Create is now friends (or however you want to word it) with the allbingo community, which hosts monthly bingo fests for writing, art, etc prompts for both fan work and original work. The current fests are:

- Lexember (for constructed languages and language nerds - make a word a day for your conlang or learn a new word in a different language). I also posted some ideas for stories if you aren't a word nerd

- Winter Fest and Amnesty - winter related prompts and a chance to make up any bingo cards you haven't finished (Guilty!)

Coming in January, I'll be hosting the Story Sparks fest, which will have a variety of prompts and ideas.

I've been working on small art pieces for friends, for the holidays; I've got lines done for 5/6, and if I can get the last one done tonight then the plan is to color them tomorrow! :D

I've been taking a break since NaNoWriMo ended. I need to start Lexember by refreshing my conlang pages. And there a bunch of bits from NaNo that need go on the blog. I'm supposed to be picking up so I can decorate in my office, but lazy.

I always kind of collapse after NaNo ends. A break can be very needed, though!

I've been working on my Heart Attack pinch hit all day (aside from a longer-than-intended nap), so that's going well. Now I just need to finish the Mistletoe Exchange fic, too....

I have many plans for December, the biggest being to finish my Peppermint Swirl blanket as a gift to myself. But a new expansion just dropped in Final Fantasy XIV and I want to spend all my time playing it (when I can get in! login queues have been over an hour long) so that's going to slow me down.

I am reorienting in a fic that was on hiatus for the duration of NaNo, so that I can hopefully get back to it!

But ooh, monthly bingo stuff sounds great!

I write pretty slow, so I'm mostly using the bingo cards as inspiration, but overall it's pretty fun and the variety is great.

I came here from allbingo. Last month I completed the NCIS Fest and prompts from drabble_zone.

This month I'm working on Winter Fest as well as prompts from drabble_zone. I'm also doing Lexcember.

On the non-creative front, I'm trying to get the house cleaned-up and ready to sell which I'm terrified is never going to happen. This seems to be a very good place for me. I forever feel like there's too much to do and never enough time to do it.

It's a buyer's market, so I'll bet it goes fast (a house across the street sold in about five hours)

I've heard those stories of houses going insanely quickly. Just trying to get it ready is overwhelming. I have to get it together. I only have several months to be out. At least that's the time frame I'd been told, because the market will go down, because the winter people will go back north around Easter and they tend to buy before they do.

Moving by itself is incredibly stressful. Having to prep a house can only be worse.

I've mostly been scrambling to stay on top of my homework, but today I got myself into what feels like a pretty good place going into the last ten days of the quarter. Then I even managed to bang out a story as a present for a friend, though it's poorly-written enough that it's for her eyes only. It still felt good to write!
