the tension between "I want somebody to read this chapter of my het_bigbang and assure me it makes enough sense to be going on with" and "most of the events of the story (if we were telling it in chronological order) happen during the scene break in this chapter, and most of the rest (if etc) happen before the chapter opens"
but hey, I have an entire 1.7K chapter! plus another ~600 words of (probably) chapter 2!
