I am getting ready to move across the US. Also going through the paperwork to get an official dispensation to work from home forever. Not actually in that order. Oops.

I am working on my 1960s lady fashion plate. I made an unfortunate miscalculation when kitting this up, and I don't have enough DMC 948 (Pale White Girl Fleshtone). Even more unfortunately, I have already packed the embroidery floss.

Will she be legless? Faceless? Mostly (h)armless? We shall see.

Will I break open the box and get more floss out? (No.)

Will I break into the big tub o kits and get out something else to sustain myself? (Maybe.)

I really wish I didn't have to provide my workplace with a REASON why I should be allowed to work remotely. I am of the opinion that EVERYONE should be allowed to work remotely, for any reason or no reason. But I know that is not a fight I am going to win.

I've haven't felt up to much this weekend. I'm wildly hormonal at the start of this month's period - WAY more than I normally experience, and I just want to lay on the couch and cry about nothing.

This weekend’s House Project: Take down the exterior Yule lights and decorations. Motivation extremely low.

Current Creative Goal: Write. Anything. Probably the next Village Witch story. Desire High; Motivation so low.

Writing is going poorly so I started making a vid and I love it! Except the scene clipping part, ugh. I just want all the clips perfectly on my timeline for me to work with, that would be superb.

I wish you didn’t either! I’m still fully remote, but last week we got a new Executive Director and I’m terrified they’re going to try and make us all go back into the office. If they do I’m going to have to start the reasonable accommodation gauntlet, and I really don’t want it to go that way.

Oof, that sounds rough.

If it were me, I would take down 1 decoration, write 1 bad paragraph, optionally eat some dark chocolate, and give myself an A for the day,

I started a new project this weekend. I bought the pattern for the ripple bralette. The pattern had people with (what looked like) my size boobs or larger so I hope if fits.

I started my first swatch. I'm expecting to make around 3-5 swatches esp since I'm using a slightly different yarn weight then recommended.

good news : I've just adopted a kitty!! she's a 6 year old brown tabby named Lucy and she is an angel :)

a little less good news: I'm falling a bit behind on school work as a result of helping her adjust to her new home :,) of course I wouldn't trade it for anything, but I just need to fine tune my school work schedule to adapt! adapting tends to stress me out, but I can do it >:)
