 How's everyone doing? Whatcha making this weekend? What have you done this week? Seen, read, or watched anything cool?

I assembled another papercraft and I think I'm going to work on a custom today. It's a computer mascot type thing, based on the first computer I worked on, a Kaypro II.

I've been working on mom's shawl. The rows are so long now that each row takes 20 minutes to knit, and I can only stand so much of it so my goal is two rows a day. I only have 7 rows left so I should finish this week.

I've started working through a Ruby on Rails tutorial! Currently having issues with git & bitbucket, which I will need to figure out tomorrow.

RPG Limit Break starts tomorrow so I'll be distracted this week, but I should be able to find the time to finish mom's shawl, at least.

It's the Wavedeck pattern from Knitty. I don't have a progress pic of this one, but it's the twin of one I made for myself, which looks like this.

Isn't it? I love this pattern so much that this is my fifth time making it. It's not the easiest pattern--you can't use stitch markers for most of it so it can be easy to mess up the lace. But the end result is well worth it. Being a half-circle, it's very easy to wear, too! I always get compliments when I wear mine.

I decided not to start a new project. I'm instead working on making a google phone box into a display case for my Ghostbusters 2016 mini figures. I'm going to end up having dad do some cutting - I could do it with an exacto or the dremel but I think actual power tools will be much easier and turn out better.

Gonna scan the card backs the figures came on and fix the art up to be the inside and front. It should look nifty when I'm done.

Got the outside artwork done. I think I'm going to leave the inside mostly plain so it doesn't get too busy.

Gave the box to Dad to cut tomorrow while I'm gone. He's not sure how he's gonna do it, so I may end up doing it.

I've spent most of today bouncing my head off of the new website, though I did take a break to go to the local craft show. I'm kiiiind of out in the sticks so there were four tables? But both me & my roommate found something to buy.

I'm pretty sure I finally got credit card checkout working on the new website. I've got a friend who's just been waiting til the new site is done to order, so that'll get properly tested soon. In the meantime I'm updating links & generally cleaning things up, wheeeeeeeeeeeee.

I finished the knitting on my shawl. Now all i have to do is weave in the ends and block it. And figure out what to cast on next.
