I'm working on a cloth doll for a friend's nibling's birthday. It's been a while since I made anything plush with cloth, so it's a learning experience!
yeah I blinked at this like, "while I admire your optimism, today is Wednesday"
anyway if providing a visual aid for the four generals from early Sailor Moon is not sufficient either to cue a Miraculous Ladybug server to which canonical character design I'm referencing or to get anybody in the WIP Big Bang server to agree the resulting mental image matches the guy in the gifset I already linked, then "he looks like if one of the four generals from early Sailor Moon were a Disney prince" is not a line that gets to stay in the draft, is it
Yes, I can definitely see that 😂 Anyway, I know you usually prefer to let the readers make their own connections/do their own work, but you could potentially keep the line if you were willing to let the readers do a little less work. Like, spend a couple of sentences or so describing Catwalker, then throw in something like, "The effect was rather like if someone had taken one of the four generals from early Sailor Moon and turned him into a Disney Prince" or similar. That might be leaning a bit too far away from your personal style, though.
The sad thing is, I *watched* Dad take the trashcans out (which I totally could've done myself) so I know tomorrow's Thursday. And yet.
There have been a few people on the WIP Big Bang server that annoyed me (which could definitely be a me problem), but overall their advice is probably about right, unfortunately. It's a damn good line.
Just a doll; some speculative "this is what the recipient's soon-to-appear younger sibling might look like" mixed in, but otherwise no specific model.
A part of me does wish I were doing this with crochet, but it's good experience to branch out into other crafts sometimes, and I have some prior experience with sewing, at least.
I sewed a dog plushie as a kid in school, and a really simple cat plushie about 7 years ago, and that's where my experience with making soft toys in any medium ends. xD So I find it super cool that you can do it in multiple mediums!
