I have been... Not Quilting. I had a grand shopping day scheduled for last week which fell through. I consoled myself with shopping locally as much as possible; and on JoAnn and Amazon, not all of which has yet arrived (I think our USPS person is losing stuff off the back of the truck again, such is life in a small town).
I have recently been having days where I should not be allowed to touch physical objects. So I am spending the time trying to learn. I have relented on my usual hatred of videos and am watching the Ultimate Beginner Quilt playlist from Fat Quarter Shop on Youtube. It's kinda nice that the videos take as long as the thing takes: no miraculous cuts to 30 minutes later and "here's one I prepared earlier". On the other hand, the videos take as long as the thing takes, and my attention tends to wander. I have made liberal use of watching at 1.5x speed and captions. It's also wonderful that she normalizes having small mess-ups and you get to see how to fix them.
With much executive function donated by Mr Diane, I have also created a fixed car, and we are in the process of creating an updated kitchen.
I feel like I have not gotten a lot done, but I'm exhausted just looking at this!
