Okay, I dunno how many people have seen that B. Dylan Hollis video with the two-ingredient "cookies"? Yeah, I made those but turned them into granola bars. And also added some candy, because I can.

You will need:
1 medium-large bowl to mix stuff in
1 standard size loaf pan
Parchment paper (preferred) or grease for your pan

Ingredients:
2 cups quick oats
2 medium to large bananas, mashed or 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (if bananas) or 1/2 cup caramel nibs (if applesauce)
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon (if applesauce)
1/8 teaspoon salt (optional)

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

-Mix everything except the fruit together in the bowl. Add the fruit, and mix thoroughly until a "dough" is formed.
- Apply non-stick-ifying agent to bread pan. Smoosh dough into the bottom of the bread pan, trying to get as flat and even as possible.
-Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, then set out to cool.
- When the baked good is cool, remove it from the bread pan. Slice into 6 pieces. Om nom nom!

I am having difficulty not eating all of the caramel apple ones at once.

Hi! Have just discovered this comm. We've been cleaning out the craft room, and I'm rediscovering things that I desperately want time to work on. Goal for this evening is to quilt some of a lap quilt, now that I have space to do so. Probably unrealistic hope is to get all the quilting on it done this week, so I can bind it next week, and declare a finish :)

This weekend, I had some studying and admin work to do but I also made time to handwrite one letter to a penpal. I started and finished it today, which I am very pleased with. The original goal was to write the second, now only letter in my reply queue, too, but I am afraid I am out of time for today and tomorrow is already Monday again. Sigh. Oh well, at least I got that one letter done. :D

Quilting practice! I made another practice block using the last of the magic-but-wonky half square triangles. I have learned from the Ultimate Beginner Quilt videos several things that I am doing wrong. Regrettably one of them is that I was using the mat to measure for cutting and not my awesome ruler.

I still have not FOUND the awesome ruler since moving. I'm sure it's hanging out somewhere with my dark purple bath towels and my yoga mat, laughing at me.

I've got the idea about making blocks. I'm now at the point where I either need to move on to the next steps, or go out and buy some REAL fabric with intent to make something in particular.

Luckily I have the whole week off! I am seriously contemplating a major shopping run. (Not least to my closest Target, which is in another state, to get a laundry drying rack. Because meanwhile, I have also acquired some dumbbells and recreated some exercise routines, in the process creating a heckton of delicate laundry that needs doing.) Time to map out the optimal path, try to remember which quilt shops are open which days, and cross my fingers the sun actually comes out at some point...

Edited to add: I FOUND THE RULER! It was indeed in one of the "large" Lowes boxes... that I had already looked in... tucked safely between two very large Lego kits. Good GRIEF but I excel at putting things in safe places!
