I have signed up for smallfandombang! Big Bang challenge for small fandoms (defined as anything with less than 2000 fics, currently) that runs from now until posting dates in spring next year! Minimum length of an author's contribution is 10.000 words, with no max. Artists can make all sorts of cool stuff for that. It's all in the FAQ and rules! Anyone who has a love for a small fandom should seriously consider this. Give the small fandoms some love!

I've already gotten started on my fic for it and am really stoked about my quick progress. It's a fic for the ballet, Napoli by Nikolaj Hübbe/August Bournonville and it's going pretty good so far. Very pleased.

Hope other people have had a good start to September.

communal_creators opened their September challenge sign-ups a couple days ago. (Here if anybody was interested.)

We're using it for work on the Gallery and Museum accounts. I just published a very short article about Tree relationships for the Museum.

I'd like to add illustrations to it but those need to be made first.

Quilt progress has resumed. I am probably more than half done with block 4 of the tutorial. But one of the half square triangles came out a bit small. I may have to redo. Luckily not the one where I'm worried about running out of the fabric.

All of this was interrupted by a road trip to see family. (It's never for a happy reason.) I am reminded that I am estranged from these people for a reason. So my brain is kind of all over the place. I probably should not be allowed to operate the sewing machine in my current mental state, but it's so therapeutic I'm doing it anyway.

I have promised to make a memory quilt out of some aloha shirts. And a couple of pillows (there has been some scope creep). I have no idea how that will go, but challenge accepted!
