I've spent most of the week setting up my writing journal. It's still a total mess but I'm proud of myself, lol. I also set down the basics of my vampires and werewolves 'verse, for easy reference and shareability.
I'm going to have to make a spreadsheet to keep track of all the figure skating routines from previous seasons that I'm treating as canonical for purposes of my Yuri on Ice fic
I had liveblogged a couple of comic books and I'm working on getting them on the blog. The first one is up, although I still need to do icons for it.
I need to do more art for the WIP Big Bang.
I started remaking my Cocktail of the Night logo for the blog. I'm about 90% done - I need to trace the scan I used for the word 'cocktail' again because I lost the original Illustrator file.
Sketched a little to figure out a more manga style for my Inuyasha-inspired isekai/portal fantasy.
I figured out how to schedule DW posts using email. So I should start doing that for some RainbowLounge stuff.
I've also made some good progress on getting my room more organized/closer to clean. I'm really appreciating the results, and am hoping to keep up with them better in the future.
I like "orange" and "oriole" and "onsen" as possibilities (or as options, if you will π)
Sounds like you've got some good work done and a busy schedule ahead! Good luck!
I keep telling myself I should try scheduling posts by email. And then I think to myself, "Nah, I'll do it later. I don't want to think about the future right now!" So, maybe someday π
I do my best but sometimes you look at how very specific they can be and I'm like I think I see the problem. Still, trying my best in the few I can write for (also didn't help that I DID finish one a week ago and forgot! to put it in the basket)
So how it works is, you set up posting by email, and then you write a post by email that you then schedule to send as an email, and it will post on the "send" date. And that's the only option Dreamwidth has for scheduled posts at the moment. (Though it's an option I dearly want to have properly someday...)
Yeah, I only started that comm this year! I had the idea for it last year and pitched it on fictional_fans to try and get someone else to do it, but no one took the bait. It turns out that I was disappointed enough by that last year to try and pull the entire thing together... two weeks before what absolutely had to be the official start date of June 9th π I was not going to let it wait another year, gosh darnit!
Anyway, I had enough of a blast, and there was enough interest from other people(!), that I've decided to run it again next year! If I had ended up being the only one producing content, I honestly would've just released a prompt calendar next year, but there were enough other participants this time around to make me invested in running it again in full β₯
I made another quilt block! (Done with 5 out of 9 blocks now.) I learned that I REALLY hate hourglass units. This is so educational!
I'm trying to noodle around with ideas for the memory quilt, but I don't know how many shirts I'm getting and what kind of colors they are, so I can't really make any design decisions until those show up.
Despite knowing that I should be writing on this that or the other thing, I've spent a lot of the week cross stitching! I got a little kit, and have been working on it. It's been a lot of fun just setting it up and working on it while bad movies play on the TV.
Also, next Monday, I start a new job, so I'm attempting to get things done.
Unfortunately, for my "creativity", I tore my left rotator cuff, and that means shoulder pain forever and ever amen (or at least until someone actually listens to me, and does what they're supposed to do). But cross stitching has been fun. I plan to do it tomorrow and Tuesday quite a bit, so that maybe I can move the hoop again, before I go to work on Wednesday.
i've done social stuff the last FOUR WEEKS!! feels like i'm trying to grasp on to what's left of the summer since june and july were kinda boring lol. went brunch bowling yesterday, when to a trans beach party the weekend before, went to a local music event and pride before that!
also finally did some art after a little drought, which is great
