I have been having a little trouble creating because 1) I repurposed my office into a WFH office so I don't feel "right" drawing in there anymore and 2) I don't want to leave my bedroom, which has no desk but has A/C. BUT I repurposed my usual middle-night insomnia by going down to my office, opening the windows, and drawing in the cool of the middle of the night. It's a little thing but I'm very pleased I figured this out.

I've just written another couple of thousand words of my current WIP to cheer up a friend who has had a rough few days. It now stands at 17,018 words, and I'm not sure how to set off into the next chapter. The premise is simple - two teenage sweethearts, who haven't seen each other for 25 years meet on a train between Geneva and Paris. The story is them catching each other up - I've just got to the beginnings of Livejournal and fanfiction.net ...

I made a double batch of chocolate chip cookies for a family event. I made the dough the other day and baked them this morning.

I'm planning on baking some more bread soon and making some smoothie popsicles with the yogurt made earlier this week.

I wrote 844 words on a complete story. It is done. I'm not touching it again. I wrote and it's over. I have the hottest bedroom in the house and it's the only place I can hang out because our house is not set up for people to be in the living room, which sucks.

But yes, one complete story. I may put it on my DW, but eh.

I have a big week of doctors appointments so I have to travel back to Ohio to see my oncologist. I also want to keep working on my wipbigbang story and even though sign ups at fandomgiftbasket are still open I already have one I feel like it's a must write for me

Mostly I have been recovering from having a sun burn I got a few days ago. I've been drawing more for Art Fight, this online art event for the month of July. Also I have been finishing up reading some books and working on my stamp collection, a jigsaw puzzle and my comic/story. So I've been busy...!

I finally made the first two disappearing-9-patch quilt blocks. Holy kamoly this quilt is gonna be HUGE. I hope I know what I'm doing.

Job hunting suuuuuuuuucks. Pro tip, never schedule a coding interview for the Monday after a 4-day weekend. Ow, my brain.
