Date: 2024-08-03 09:50 pm (UTC)I did get some art shit done though! Just practice sketches so I can draw my faves better :) That was a lot easier than I expected, actually. Lol.
Good luck to everyone else working on stuff! ദ്ദി ( ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ )

Date: 2024-08-03 10:00 pm (UTC)I'm trying to do two icon challenges, so next I'm going to do icons from the excellent (new) comic series Willam of Newbury. (all-ages anthro comic, set during the Anarchy in England, star is a raccoon priest who banishes demons. Described as Hellboy meets Usagi Yojimbo)
I need to go to the comic store and get the third issue which came out this week, but it's 108.5F / 42.5C outside according to my dad's thermometer and I don't want to die.

Date: 2024-08-04 12:32 am (UTC)I have a week with NO APPOINTMENTS for the first time in months, so maybe I might be able to get some coloring or doodling done too. I also need to do some cleaning, though that's not particularly creative.

Date: 2024-08-04 01:56 pm (UTC)I have had almost no brain or coordination for working on the Hawaiian shirt quilt. I've done a small amount of cross stitch (a Mill Hill Halloween piece). Even that has had the occasional screw-up and undo.
I've also been puttering with coloring and playing with washi tape in my bullet journal, as well as doing a bit of wardrobe design.
I'm frustrated that I can't find general resources on garment engineering(*), so I may need to write my own. Things like, how are drawstring pants affected by the material & dimensions of the drawstring; what are all these seams on my hiking pants for; how can I make XYZ garment with pockets that will hold a modern iPhone without skewing the entire garment, and so on. If anyone knows of a general resource, or even what the hell it's actually called, please let me know!
(*) What I'm thinking of is not what's called "garment engineering" in the industry. I'm interested in how to design individual garments to be comfortable and functional, plus the theory of what all the structural elements are and what they all do. I'm having a heck of a time googling for this.

Date: 2024-08-04 06:39 pm (UTC)- Second therapy session
- editing done
- one scene done on one story
The therapy is knocking me for a loop and making it very hard to be creative before Wednesday or so (Therapy is Friday mornings). It's like the brain scramblies can't straighten out for that long. It sucks.
