I'm fairly brain-dead today because I spent the last two days working on a SUPER URGENT project for work. As opposed to the SUPER URGENT project I worked on before the vacation.

BUT, I finished making plain text versions of all the rainbowlists prompt lists (aka colors)

I am deep into NaCraMaMo! Last night, I finally finished the baby hat that I started on Tuesday, and today, I wound up 5 skeins of yarn for washing. Tomorrow I have a whole bunch of chores to do, and I really want to get a bunch of faux flowers wound up to go on my Autumn wreath.

Laundry is done for the moment. The washer is empty, the dryer is done.

Hockey is on TV and that's something I needed.

Except I can't stop yawning. I'm very seepy.

I have several projects that are almost done that need finishing. I have the second of a pair of socks that needs the toes grafted & the provisional cast on fixed but is otherwise done. I also have a sole that I need to sew onto the knitted slipper. That is also the 2nd of the pair done.

Live rattlesnakes! And other reptiles and some amphibians (plus two tarantulas)! And displays about snakes in culture, like stamps, Zuni fetishes, comics and pulp covers, reptiles on sewing supplies. And the world's oldest gila monster in captivity. All packed into a place not bigger than a normal apartment. I took SO MANY pictures and still didn't cover everything.

I'm working on iteratively finding and finishing WIPs. I've found two crochet projects that were possible to progress; one is now at the 'find the rest of the yarn' stage, while the other has about a ball left over two colours, so I should be able to get another few rows.

Oops! Late posting re last week:

I made digital drawings for three more Drawtober challenge prompts: "Into the Depths," "Badger! Badger! Badger!," and "Bread." If anyone would like a look, the full posts are over in my journal, with shorter posts in the drawesome community (which hosts the Drawtober challenge) linking to the longer ones.

I also wrote some mailing comments for my apazine.

This week, I hope to draw some more (and I did make one drawing, yesterday, that I'll count in next week's check-in), but I also promised to mail some long-finished donation knitting to the closest collection point by today, so I need to go get into the shower, pronto!

I also really need to devote some attention to household upkeep & restocking...if anyone who sees this has friendly tips on feeling neutral-to-postive about housework and decluttering (especially when living alone), I'd be very interested to find out what you have to say!
