So! Thursday night, my cat escaped. He's been gone since then. Today, a friend talked to her patron and had a feeling I should go look for him, so I did. And BAM! Found him! His feet and belly were filthy, but he's home, safe and unhurt.

In the meantime, I've written 10k on my rewrite which is my November project! Next, after this hockey game are the cat pans, then, I'm going to go take a nap, since I got like 2 hours sleep last night!

5000 words into my next story as of this morning. Next story just sort of...popped into my head while I was sitting in my car listening to Boards of Canada, so I'll need to write down the outline for that sometime.

I hope to do some hiking with my brother and SiL this coming week, my first on some of these paths after nearly losing my leg 3 years ago.

I still am not feeling mentally or emotionally up to working on the big memory quilt project. One of the quilts is for my parents and I am BIG MAD at them so that is not helping.

However! I actually made it back to the quilting guild for the first time in a year.

I also fooled myself into getting started on simple sewing projects again, by replacing a drawstring in a pair of me-made pajama pants with elastic (including a spot of hand sewing which came out really well). I've pulled out a project of more pajama pants in progress, that I put away when we moved. It turns out I have cut out everything except the cargo pockets! Go, Past Diane!

I have a surprise 3-day weekend so I have cleared a space and organized the WIP. I was sick yesterday but today I have high hopes.
