Nothing this week.

I ordered a recumbent trike this week, and the excitement of fulfilling a moderately expensive lifelong dream has created a flood of excitement causing a little autistic overload.

It'll pass, I'm sure, but argh, can't think right now, slowly function.

The better half is away, too, missing her. 😔

The short test ride of a few kilometres was amazing. Had to remind myself there was a bit of "new bike syndrome" there and that my old touring bicycle is flogged out, possibly 20000km on it in 8 and a bit years (mostly commuting, but a few short tours in there), but the trike is going to keep the wheels turning as I roll into later life. The surprising thing was just how much energy it takes to balance a 2 wheeler compared to riding a low slung 3 wheeler!

I really want to get back into writing and I have an idea, but I've got such a busy schedule until the end of the month that I feel like I can't write until then. But the idea! It's so cool!! Agh.

Have you tried the time confetti method of writing in this situation?

I’ve never heard of this method before, but I just looked it up and it seems exactly like something I could benefit from. I’ll give it a shot, thank you for the suggestion!

Even if it only nets you a few hundred words of story, it's still more than nothing ! :)

Well, writing has started happening! Which is good. I write before work, and at lunch. This is a good thing.

Today, however, we went shopping because we finally found a Dollar General... 45 minutes away. So, that was a thing and then we hit several other stores, and now we are home and I'm sleepy and want only to lay around and watch hockey.

I am leaving for an all inclusive resort on monday so my plan is to relax but my uncle passed today (not unexpected, a long fight with cancer)

I'm trying to make as many of these granny square chickens as possible before I go to my "summer gig" at my grad school. I want to hand them out to people while I'm there!

So far, I've done several sets of flowers and started squaring them off but haven't assembled any of them.

I've been reading "A gentleman in Moscow" which I've really enjoyed, and "written." which is about finding a writing practice that works for me.

I'm still doing my daily pages but struggling to find the creative stuff in me.

I drafted three more posts for my book blog. My oncologist assured me the brain fog will lift when I finish chemo so that's something to look forward to. I also helped my roommates fix up the porch yesterday--light jobs only. Slowly but surely I'm learning how to reallocate my spoons.

I haven't been doing much - even less than usual - because I have a project at work that's due on Monday(-ish). I don't know that I'll hit the deadline for all four pieces, but two are done and the third, really big one, should be done. It's the last one that is going to tight.

But I ordered a bunch of keyboard switches to test from Clackify so I've been playing with my keyboards. And I want to go to the comic book store today.
