Aug. 22nd, 2025 08:49 pmWhat are you working on? What have you finished? What do you need encouragement on?
Are there any cool events or challenges happening that you want to hype?
What do you just want to talk about?
What have you been watching or reading?
Chores and other not-fun things count!
Remember to encourage other commenters and we have a discord where we can do work-alongs and chat, linked in the sticky

Date: 2025-08-23 04:18 am (UTC)I'd love to check out the Discord. Are the work-alongs voice chats for doing chores and the like, or is it sessions where everyone works on their various crafts (crochet, painting, etc.)?

Date: 2025-08-23 04:39 am (UTC)Currently working on a worldbuilding poem.
Recently my groundcherries started ripening are quite tasty! Though tiny, these have a pineapple flavor rather different from the ones I buy at the store.

Lots of new people came to Dreamwidth after Othercon, so watch for them and encourage them to stick around.

We just finished a season of RWBY. I'm not sure what we'll pick next but probably live-action. I recently started reading Miss Amelia's List by Mercedes Lackey.

I've barely managed to keep up with watering things outside because it has been so hot. :P But it's cooler now so maybe I'll get more done. The first fall bulbs arrived and I planted 3 irises. :D

Date: 2025-08-23 05:47 am (UTC)Been spending this week whittling away at this nifty not-so-little questionnaire—which has so far been a fair enough pivot from my prior pivot of a sequel project I decided to start on earlier than previously intended. Said sequel project has also been taking some increasingly poignant turns as far as my ideation goes; at this rate, it might work out to be even more of a vent piece than its predecessor (which is saying something)…
On another note, I’ve started school again—albeit, through an asynchronous online-only course, so that’s (hopefully) not much for me to worry about so long as I keep my deadlines appropriately in mind.

Date: 2025-08-24 05:24 pm (UTC)Ficlets are short fanfics (they rely on being fanfics for being able to be short)

Date: 2025-08-23 10:27 pm (UTC)I've been posting to my tarot/oracle card tumblr and volunteering at the cat rescue. I have an online thing today to set-up my new bullet journal with another person that needed to set up hers.

Date: 2025-08-24 04:43 am (UTC)Plus, I've barely written all week. No crochet to be seen. I'm cranky about it.

Date: 2025-08-25 03:19 pm (UTC)They turned out very tasty. And the berry sauce is way more then is needed for 1 batch of pancakes. So we may end up using it on something else or freezing it, maybe.
I've been actively reading two series of books, one on audio, one on digital. The audio series is the Guide to dating Vampires, a queer vampire romance with lots of Worldbuilding. Per usual romance it focuses on one couple per book but they aren't all part of the same friend group. They are interconnected via other ways and it's fun to see how they all are connected without knowing it. The setting is focused in one city and it is very good. It feels real and systemical oppression of vamps is a big theme of all the books.
The digital books I'm reading are part 3 & 4 of the light novel series Ascendance of a Bookworm. They had all of part 3 & some of part 4 available at one in the library so I'm fighting the urge to ignore all my responsibilities to binge read them all.
