I have fixed my chair! It now longer squeaks disruptively loud. There's still a small squeak, which I'm pretty sure is wood, because there's a spot where it had split and been repaired. Once I can get into the cabinet where the greases are, I'll put some Murphy's oil on it and see if it helps.
