Date: 2026-02-15 09:11 pm (UTC)During the launch/info meeting, I added ⅓ a row to my rainbow blanket. It might not sound like much but it's a half circle pattern and each row now is hundreds of stitches. (I'm not even counting, just eyeballing the increases.)
… and I'm now at ~5,000 words of this research paper, making it the second longest piece of academic writing I've ever done (after my MFA critical thesis). 2,000 words to go and I'm tired.

Date: 2026-02-16 05:47 am (UTC)I'm super hyped for National Craft month in March, I've been prepping my scrapbooking and embroidery materials for that specifically!
I've also been getting into horror as a genre a bit more lately too, which is wild cause I'm easily spooked in general. So far, I've been dipping my toes into reading it and I've watched someone play a horror game on Youtube so it made the whole thing less scary with the players constantly making jokes as things happened. I'm not going to get into heavy stuff anytime soon, but it's big for me!

Scrapbooking and embroidery sounds like a lot of fun! Do you have anything in decided that you want to embroider already?

I've been working on organizing my Obsidian Vault further (moving away from Google suite to local writing software). I'm having trouble focusing for longer amounts of time, but I've found it helps running short times sprints on discord while doing it.
At the same time, spending too much time on Obsidian isn't good either. I feel accomplished and it gives me joy, but it's not something I should at this moment spend whole days on. I really want to tidy my study so I feel motivated to use it again (I'm one of those people that can't stand clutter...), but everytime I go in there I jsut feel super overwhelmed. I wish I could just decide on a day and move all the clutter/empty the storage to the living room so I can reorganize an make sure everthing gets stored away.

I am eyeing the meta March event, not that I have written any meta. I want to, but I thought maybe reading what gets posted during the event can help me start writing too, who knows. I wanted to get into editing on Fanlore during February, but I can't seem to figure out where to start.
What do you just want to talk about?
I'm curious about everyone's writing routines (or how it looks like when you write, if you don't see it as a routine). I haven't finished anything in ages, but the WIPs keep increasing in numbers. I would like to be able to finish a short story for my ship.
What have you been watching or reading?
We've been watching 90s Japanese drama shows and are having a blast. The book I'm currently reading is on gesture drawing and I'm following along with the excercies but I haven't in a couple of days so time to pick it back up again before I abandon it.
