Oh god, we just got done with errands, and now I'm hiding. Too many people, too much shoulder pain. Now, I'm going to chill and watch hockey.

But I got all the grocery shopping done, and did a load of laundry. So time to chill.

Oh no! Yay for getting stuff done, boo that it's so stressful and painful. I'd be hiding too.

My life is chaos. We're getting the hall bathroom remodeled, which is going well enough but the original estimate of "about a week" has been nuked from orbit by some shenanigans with the countertop. It's going to be amazing once it's done. Also Mr Diane's bathroom is horrible and I don't know how he puts up with it. But it is way better than nothing in a pinch.

Both humans and both cats have basically spent every day this week cooped up in the computer room together. I've basically spent the week playing World of Warcraft and scrolling Reddit, which is not healthy for me in any way.

The new Formula One season has started. This weekend's race is in Australia. We stayed up until 1AM watching quali, and plan to stay up until 1AM tonight watching the race. As a bonus, we get hit with the DST clock change tonight. So today we're both sleep-deprived wrecks, and tomorrow is going to be even worse.

Today I forced myself to pick up my out-and-about cross stitch project, and I made some more progress on the outlines. I'm amazed I didn't mess anything up.

I was sick part of last week so I've been catching up on all the crap I didn't get done. I finished the Mos Eisley cross-stitch a few weeks ago. I'll take a picture of it eventually. It's not been ironed yet so it's kind of crinkly and I haven't found a frame for it.

I'm working on a small fan art in my notebook as a stepping stone to doing a somewhat larger one on canvas with acrylic paint. I'm not as strong with acrylic as I am in handling watercolor, but I intend to work a bit more on my traditional and digital approaches to art more consistently.

I baked a batch of buns for hotdogs and a half batch of dinner rolls out of the same dough. We'll see how they turn out. They are in the oven now.

I hope they turned out well.
I've been meaning to bake hotdog rolls too, as well as burger bun!

We went to IKEA during the weekend, and I got some more stuff for my peg boards, only to learn that the one I most wanted is not being made anymore... It's like a magazine rack your can hang on the pegboard, I wanted to get two lined up so I could store any paper or art utensils that were too big to fit in my shelf... Maybe I can reorder some things around and still make it work.

Completely lost track of spending on our day out, but I bought a book, it's a poetry collection called the "Avocado pit" by Machi Tawara (アボカドの種、俵万智)with tanka, short Japanese poems, and I'm enjoying reading a bit in the evening.

The whole week has felt rather meh both creatively and obligations wise. Hoping for better vibes this week. I really, really, really need to file my taxes.
