THIS WEEK I got a bunch of wood pieces sanded (by hand, cos power sanders are apparently not a good idea); got a bunch of soap & stuff made, & did the semi-monthly drive into Albuquerque for the Trader Joe's & Costco run. Also I looked at flatbed trailers for the Tinker's Wagon Project.

So far today I've gotten a good chunk done of the second set of booth shelves & also hauled the stuff from yesterday in from the van; it's already raining, so good call on those going first.

Next up is *gulp* ordering a trailer, & then some more soap & such, & also I'm gonna build the cats a box fort because I need more fun stuff for them to do inside.

Wait, why are power sanders not a good idea? Did you sand off a chunk of you?

It turns out that I am extra sensitive to vibration, & not in a good way; my hands get the tinglies after like three minutes sanding something, & if I push it the hand that was holding the sander turns off.

Fortunately my partners are willing to sand things when they're home, & I _can_ sand things by hand in the meantime, it's just slower.

I finished an art thing earlier this week that I'm not totally confident about, but I've been doing a bunch of smaller sketchy things throughout the week that I've been happy with! I also did a little portrait for a friend who I'm going to see tomorrow and give it to, hopefully they like it! <3

Hopefully gonna start sketches for a new art thing tonight; a little daunted because the characters wear intricate fantasy attire, but will try my best!

WE MOVED! *heroic pose* And got a Japanese futon so we never, ever have to wrestle an enormous mattress into a vehicle EVER AGAIN.

Oh, and we also started writing a little again and inked a little of a comic that's got nothing to do with the Kickstarter one. We're down to the last five pages for that one though!

I posted to my AO3 account for the first time, as I was taking part in challengeonthebigbridge which had a deadline of July 31st. My stuff is here: xnera. I'm tickled that I have already received kudos and nice comments!

I did a lot of knitting in the last days of the month to get the last submission done. I'm now taking a break,mostly to read books and rest, but I did start on a fun new knitting project today and worked on it until my body said it needed a nap.

The banana bread turned out amazing. I used vanilla yogurt and it was so moist and soft. New fav recipe!
