Happy Friday creators!
How are your projects going? Have you seen or done anything cool lately?
I've started watching the fansubs Digimon 02. I like the changes they made to the Digimon lore. Daisuke / Davis is less annoying than Taichi was, even with his thing with Hikari (which my aromantic self doesn't get, but they're in 5th or 6th grade so I suppose it's normal).
I've also recently started listening to a new podcast, What the Folklore? They discuss fairytales and myths and such and try to make them make sense. Which often ends up with them casting them as movies. It's here: https://wtfolklore.simplecast.fm/ No transcripts, sorry.
Two short stories I read recently, both at Tor.com:
- Articulated Restraint by Mary Robinette Kowal. It's apparently part of a series, but it works perfectly well on it's own. "Being a Lady Astronaut means being twice as dedicated, and twice as good as everyone else. And sometimes, handling a test run that has turned deadly serious."
- Circus Girl, The Hunter, and Mirror Boy by JY Yang. I didn't like this one as much, although the world is interesting. "As an orphaned sixteen-year-old, Lynette was haunted by the ghost of Mirror Boy, the drowned child who replaced her reflection. Ten years later, she’s built herself a new life, but all that is threatened when Mirror Boy returns, warning of danger. A hunter has come for both of them, and unless Lynette can figure out what’s going on, they will both perish."

Date: 2019-02-16 12:03 am (UTC)The first project is the Oh, Honey! Spa Cloth. I had some issues getting started with it, but I think I have a hang of it now.
The second project is the Giddyup Girl Cowl. My stitch counts are all over the place, but it seems to be working out so I'm not sweating it.
In cool news, I released a knitting pattern yesterday!. I've made it temporarily free with the use of a coupon code, and over 500 people have used the code! Way cool.
I might do some more crochet tonight, though I will probably just play some more Final Fantasy XV instead. I'm playing a New Game+ and seriously considering getting the platinum trophy for it.
