It is Saturday, & we are here!

Those of us in the US are, in general, recovering from the Consumption of the Turkey over a long holiday weekend. I think most of the world has been conquered by the Weekend of Great Commerce, for which I apologize, as I believe the US is at fault for that one.

I'm not doing any shopping this weekend. I stocked up on cat food Wednesday so I'm good, & anyway I'm having too much fun making stuff.

What're y'all up to?

The weather is frightful, so I'm not gonna be able to get anything done on the tinker's wagon over the next couple days. Which is fine! I've gotten more sewing done this week than I have in months, & this morning I woke up _wanting_ to make jewelry for the first time in AGES.

Also I gotta make brussels sprouts with BACON.

You're telling me. I played pinball with my head on the stairs - fell forward, ricocheted off the wall and bannister and hit my skull on the doorpost at the bottom.

it had a grapefruit sized lump when I first did it, now down to tangerine sized. No concussion, no breaks.

I started on cleaning out and organizing my closet. At the moment, I'm working on finishing easy projects. I also started on my hat for Dickens Fest (mom is doing the sewing bits of my costume, I just have to make my accessories)

I'm doing a pillbox hat. Later I'll do a shako, but I thought I'd start with something easy. At the moment, I just have a cardboard strip to figure out the dimensions and I just ordered some 100% wool felt online. Mom and I went to the fabric district in LA last weekend and I bought almost all my materials. (... but I just bought some more stuff on etsy because I couldn't find what I wanted and the number of decisions to make was overwhelming)

I actually finished an art thing for the first time in the past few weeks, so that's cool! I took a break from another art thing because it just wasn't coming out right, so maybe now I can return to it and things'll go a little smoother.

Might also just take a nap because it has been A Morning, ahah C':

I'm most proud of the very long post I made summarizing the events of the second half of Final Fantasy XIV:A Realm Reborn. It took me about six hours over the course of two days to write!

I did also finish the hat I was knitting last week. It came out just okay. The crown is too long and pointy, sigh.
