Welcome to our first Just Create Saturday!

What are you working on today / this weekend? Do you have any wip pics to share?

I'm going to finally edit my most recent podcast episode. Then I have to get at least a few more things on eBay. If I have any energy left I'm going to put together a couple of papercraft things I printed out.

Last night I finished a poem about Falun Gong as personal ritual and community bonding.

Today I posted "Experience Stinks" as the freebie for the [community profile] crowdfunding Creative Jam on growing up.

Tonight I'm working on a poem about men choosing clothes that suit them.

That's several decades worth of diligent practice.

I started writing a poem every weekday in junior high, and kept that up until some time in college, I think.

I've had the Poetry Fishbowl going for over 10 years now. That started out as a one day per month gig, but has since sprawled out to a couple weeks or more, because the individual pieces are running much longer now.

Plus whatever I decide to write on my own or for other projects.

All that practice adds up to me being able to write fast and confidently, so I get a lot done, and it sells well. \o/

I sadly was too sick on Saturday to do much of anything besides wrap myself in a blanket, sit on the couch, and read a terrible cowboy UFO romance novel. (I know, right, with a premise like that, how could it be bad?)

However, I did work a good bit on Sunday and finish editing a nonfiction piece I've been working on for like six months. Now it's all just citation crunching and then FREEEDOOMMMMMM
