Got the other long wall touched up, put a bunch more staples in to hold down the roof canvas, & did a bit more work on the proto-window shutters. Tomorrow, the door!
I have the doorframe done, & the door is cut out (not a trivial task; this is the arched door!). I'm taking a break, & then it's time to make sure the door fits, putting on the hinges, putting it in place, & getting the doorknob done. I'm not even painting it before Estrella, people can cope.

I think firelight is going to end up nine chapters? (with the last scene currently labeled as ch 7 moving to be the first of ch 8, and then the place I originally envisioned the final chapter break can be where I thought it was going to be in the first place, without having any almost-10K chapters.) in which case I'm not yet to the final chapter after all, but I'm working on it! and I thought of a couple minor edits last night but naturally they evaporated when I got out of bed.

My yarn is variegated and I'm not sure it's a good choice for this pattern, hmm. It was hard to find a pattern for this one odd skein I had, and this shawl used less yardage than the skein.
Also, does programming count here? I'm learning Python, and to practice my skill I'm building two games: a Space Invaders clone, and an implementation of the Klondike card game.
A person I've been collaborating with for awhile and I were randomly brainstorming thoughts and ideas... and suddenly came up with two OCs in a universe TOTALLY unrelated to our current project, but so wonderful and delightful that I've been spiraling and either writing or thinking them all day. It's mostly just an us project, but it's so fun! :D

It's very difficult to crochet when you have a cat who thinks any dangling string is Her Personal Toy. She has her own yarn, but mine is more interesting because it moves.

The roof of the tinker's wagon is done, though, & I have covers up over two of the windows, & the only big thing left is the other door.
