How is it so far into June already?!

Anyway, how are you doing? What are you doing? What have you done? What is the airspeed of an unladen swallow?

Edit to add:
BTW, if you're a gamer of any type: itch.io has a HUGE bundle of games for sale to support the NAACP legal fund and Community Bail Fund. It's over 1600+ games for a minimum of $5. That's here: https://itch.io/b/520/bundle-for-racial-justice-and-equality

Because it's so huge, there's been a website set up to filter and find things: https://randombundlegame.com/browse (Once you buy the bundle, there's a search bar in the bundle since it's over 50 pages of games.)

There's also a google doc with filtering options (including platform if you need it on Mac, Linux, HTML5 so you can play in the browser, etc). It's the third post down here. You may have to download the spreadsheet because it gets overwhelmed when too many people are on: https://itch.io/t/824519/is-there-any-way-to-sort-the-items-from-the-charity-bundle-by-typecategory

And there's someone giving quick impressions of the games: https://itch.io/c/915453/quick-impressions-bundle-for-racial-justice

Somebody has categorized all of them so now you can find just browser games or just soundtracks, etc: https://itch.io/t/834081/categorized-racial-justice-bundle-into-collections-links-below

It's FULL of good games.

Video games include: A Night in the Woods, A Short Hike, Celeste, Anodyne...

Tabletop games include: Lancer, Blades in the Dark, Troika, Atomic Robo the RPG...

There are also comics, zines, stories, and more.

I hear that one of the TTRPGS in the aforementioned bundle is a She-Ra TTRPG.

Also you might want to note that there's actual creative resources in the bundle! Assets like music, entire game engines like Pico-8, and at least one tool that's supposed to help creative people keep organised (Tape, though I decided I didn't like it).

Are you going to share this papercraft tower when it's done? I want to see!

meh; trying to figure out how to get the relevant info from the first five hundred words or so of this scene into a lot fewer words; cleaned grease off the kitchen lamp cover while [personal profile] silveradept rearranged its bulbs; faster than I'm writing, clearly

*ten-minute rant about writing being a pain in the ass*

"…so why do you write, then?"

"Because it's fun!"

I've been tempted by that bundle. I assume they are PC games? I don't own a computer personally, but our family has a laptop that might be able to run them.

I've had some success with crafting this week. I'm on the ankle ribbing on the first of a pair of slippers. Also been working on a playful kitty amigurumi, and knitting the wings of a dragon. Still lots to do before the end of the month! I hope I can finish some projects.

A lot of the games on there are fairly light, and some are pretty big names, so it would be worth it to get it just to HAVE these games.
And, y'know, the cause.

As long as you can read (and possibly print) .pdfs there's a lot of games you don't need to play on your computer.

I have already achieved my three creative goals this week! Sketched out a lot of pixel art too that I can finish next week! But, I'm not publishing my pixel art like I do my other art at this time, and the digital art and the music I made this week isn't really spectacular.
I'm saving the reveal of all this pixel art I'm making for when I use it in an actual game.
I had worked on more digital art practice too.

Also, that bundle contains Oneshot, one of my favourite games ever, so I hope that more people discover this very emotional game.

I sent out an email to my city council members yesterday and have gotten two responses so far (one of them encouraging; one of them... less so), and that kind of eases at the ravaging need to be doing something. Doesn't end it, and I don't want to lose momentum, but it's a start.

On the creative end, I've been working on a story for unconventionalcourtship this week. I think everyone should do this challenge, because the idea is so creative and delightful to me.

On the personal creative front: I read through a friend's creative writing project and offered my perspective; I also have enough podfic recording done to have my hands full with editing; and I am slowly but surely finishing up some fannish knitting.

Thank you for the itch.io link--I keep meaning to check that out.
