I haven't gotten much done lately. I got my bedroom finally picked up, 90% of the way. I need to vacuum and do laundry. I've also got a paying gig to start on Monday.

Oh, also, the big thing! I relaunched my Patreon with a $5 tier where I'll update people's websites for them (with restrictions) and there's a free newsletter where I remind people to update their websites.

it's that there are ninety-three things to be done & i am trying to do six at once

the problem is they all have down time built in & i can't afford to take that down time actually off

so i'm task-switching A LOT

i'm pretty good at it but it is EXHAUSTING

Otherwise.. I am slowly working on a hat? It is very slow going. I'm in a very weird mood today and have mostly been laying around like a lump, so that isn't helping things.

I finished the knitting on the 1st of a pair of socks I'm making for my partner J. I need to weave in ends & fix 1 hole. And cast on the other sock.

I did some cleaning around the house yesterday and today. Including helping J clean off his desk & sweep, vacuuming the bedroom, & taking out trash.

Um...well, I'm trying to write up a summary of what I would change in a book, but my proofreader says that I need to say how my revision would end, and I don't know how it would end. I have learned, to my everlasting annoyance, that I can't plan out a book from beginning to end because if I do, then I already know the story. And once I know the whole story, I don't have to tell it to myself.

This inability to outline has left me with two unwelcome choices:

1) Writing scenes out of sequence, which I am also not good at, to give people an idea of how it would go; or

2) Rewriting the whole damned thing. And I don't want to rewrite the whole damned thing. No one likes canon rewrites. Even if I did a stellar job, people would complain that it wasn't like the original book.

So I am stuck with work I can't complete and don't want to do.

I actually WROTE some WORDS yesterday and today, which is a notable difference from any other day in the last 2-3 weeks. Shocking! I have a story taking very slow shape in my mind that is meant to be a bit of a challenge and a stretch to me, and it seems I'm really not in mental shape to be rising to that challenge right about now. But still, it's been nice to get a little writing done.

Otherwise, I am meal planning two new recipes to try this week, but I'm afraid to leave my house to get the groceries. :P
