Looking for an accountability/Activity Partner and put out feelers once again. The ideal person would have an interest in archiving fanvids and have an interest in working with Excel. The format would be once a week Zoom sessions where I talk about the work I am doing as I am doing it.
Working on Excel To Do list application. Excel has 16,384 columns and 1,048,376 rows in each spreadsheet which allow for a lot of flexibility and space. Using event macros allows for a lot of creativity along with keyboard shortcuts. The project is coming along great.
I like doing stuff like this and super support this project, but I'm pretty busy with work thru the fall. How long would the Zoom sessions be? I'm on the US east coast and I tend to be available on weekday evenings, but it's a narrow window between work and sleep. Also many Sunday afternoons.
Thank you for your reply. I am on the east coast myself. I work full time and have side hustles so I feel you on the limited about of time between work and sleep. I am thinking about an hour. An hour of companionship once a week is about 50 hours of companionship over a year that never would have occurred at all. I have no problem getting other buddies as well. No pressure though. If it's not your cup of tea after a few sessions no worries. You are free to treat this as a trial to see if you like it.
I have a standing commitment with a fandom friend and we have fandom conversations about an hour every 2 weeks and we are approaching our 3rd year so that keeps me sane. Thank you for responding.
it is so hot here that the broccoli in our farm share basket partially steamed itself on our porch before we noticed the basket had arrived. I ain't up to anything except trying not to get slow-cooked.
It's frikking hot, but I took the ewaste and other household hazardous stuff to the dump/ABOP, and picked up my prescriptions, and then came home and fell asleep.
I finished fixing up Babette, one of the stuffed animals I was working on. Ruby has to wait to get stuffed until I decide what to stuff her with. I'm going to try to do the test lizards this weekend. I've been trying to work on Daz art of the demons from my current story but my desktop can't render or even do test partial renders so it's slow going.
I did figure out how to make morphs in Blender and take them back into Daz, so I can get that done.
In good news, I finally have an accurate quote and an approximate date for Dell to fix my laptop. They think it's the motherboard, which I have doubts about, but we'll see in like two weeks. They're supposed to fix it onsite, aka in my house, which I don't like. Our county has a less than 50% vaccination rate and I don't trust random people to wear masks because at the stores that's also like a less than 50% rate (thanks CDC...). I asked if it's possible for me to drop it off at the tech's shop or something.
Yeah, it's not great. We're all vaccinated, but I still worry about my parents since they're both seniors and Mom's on antibiotics for the rest of her life because of the staph infections/metal in her spine.
Like others in here, I have successfully not died of heat today, so that's good. I've been rereading Fellowship of the Ring and doing...probably too much liveblogging on Tumblr, but whatever. I've also been working on an essay about some of the characters just for fun, and I did a substantial chunk of that today!
I'm putting off hanging new blinds for another week. It's been a bad depression week, so the fact that I successfully went to work Monday-Friday was enough for me.
I've been trying to do lots of cleaning at home. Yesterday I did the floors & some laundry. Plus some cooking, potato buns to go with burgers & wedge fries.
I'm also trying to plan for my birthday which is at the end of this week. I want to bake something chocolate but I'm still debating between Babka or something else like cake. I'm turning 30 & we are still in self-isolation.
* kept to my streaming schedule of Monday Thursday Saturday * Wrote a Final Fantasy XIV fic (Alisaie/Lyse) for a friend! The Memory of Her Arms posted at xnera * Wrote a Final Fantasy XII fic for someone else, Best-Laid Plans, Vaan & Rogue Tomato * Finished first fingerless mitt for my nephew * Started a swatch for a crochet top I'm going to be doing * Did a test of a crochet design I made * Worked on two more yarn projects a bit * Contemplated two other fics, and wrote a few lines for one * Worked through 8 chapters of Code This Game! and am about to do more
So yeah, I had written in my journal that I was in a MAKE ALL THE THINGS! mood, and so I did lots of creative stuff this week. I'm well pleased.
I've successfully not succumbed to heat stress a few days in a row. I did write a fanfic about it, can't remember if I linked here before? And one for my fav WWDITS rarepair, too:
Successfully dropped my kids off at camp. Then, since I was already in Maine, I drove to Portland & watched Werewolves Within twice in a row. I love it very much! (except for the one part that I hate...) but I don't love that it's not playing anywhere local.
I want to write fic about that, too, but my brain is TOO FREAKING HOT & tired this week.
The Struggle
