I'm not even sure at this point what I've been doing this past week. I think I've been a zombie. My knee currently hates me. I did write a story today and started a double drabble as well. I have plans to do some crafting this week and finishing my double drabble and hopefully find something to read and do some more writing. I also need to work on the house. No more zombie-like behavior. Yeah right.
Fighting that zombie-feel can be the worst. Though hooray for still getting a story done, and having plans for more! (Not so hooray on the knee hating you, though.)
The good news is that despite feeling zombielike, I finished both writing projects. I went to bed fairly early, but my knee woke me up. Hopefully the knee won't be a long term thing, but I'm not getting any younger.
Congratulations on finishing the writing! I hope the knee pain doesn't stick around long-term. I know the feeling of "hmm... will this hurting thing go away, or am I just stuck with it now?"
This whole getting old thing really sucks. I've noticed that I've taken to doing the same movements that my grandmother used to do and she had arthritis in her knees.
This week has been a pleasantly successful one for writing! The current draft of my fic is going so much more easily than the last one, it's kind of shocking to me, ha.
This week I've mostly been working on graphics for the anime convention in July. I've got three directly related to our convention theme that I whipped up to help differentiate between certain sub-themes, and I'm working on the preliminary design for this year's Accessibility Pass*. I'm pretty pleased with how they're all going!
I also scribbled up a quick "this is what I'm picturing" design for a dress I want to commission from NerdyKeppie; we'll see how that goes, since I don't remember if commissions are actually open at the moment 😅
* Allows the holder plus one person of their choice to skip convention controlled lines, as well as early access to certain areas.
I am creating AN ACTUAL PLAN to get my fool self back into the office. I need to be surrounded by smart creative people. As much as I love them, my husband and the cats are no longer cutting it.
Not quite something creative directly but it does affect my creative process; I cleaned up my shelves, organized my shoebox totes, that are full of crafty stuffs and cleaned up my sewing desk. It feels welcoming again. I can't work in a mess and even more so, my depression gets out of wack when I try to work among a mess. So definitely win-win-win because when my depression ramps up, I don't clean as well and as long. I'm very happy with the organization now!
