How is it another week already?!

You know the drill: What did you get done? What do you want to show off? What do you need support on? Did you watch, read, or see anything cool?

Goblin, you say? (Goblin is one of the servers in Final Fantasy XIV that I have a character on!)

BIG NEWS! (a) I found a craft fair (b) in my area, very close to me (c) with a low space rental fee (d) happening in October (e) that hasn't started accepting vendor registrations yet!

!!!!!!!

So, this past week I've been hyper and crafting a lot, to make stuff for the fair. I'm doing snowflakes, tiny pumpkins, bookmarks, kerchiefs (to cover the hair, not the kind you wear around your neck), and gnome ornaments. I slowed down a bit today, and took a nap but I still managed to do some crafting today.

I recently read the first Murderbot novella, and have the second borrowed. Need to get on that and read it.

dianec42: Cross stitch face (DecoLady)

I finished the test stitch for the yellow-orange shading for the last installment of the Art Nouveau seasons (cross stitch). I think I am going to have to go with a blend for the middle shade. But I will do as many surrounding colors as I can and then hold up the test ones to be sure.

Meanwhile I have filed the Art Nouveau seasons, the test stitch, and (hopefully) adequate notes. I want to see if I can finish some of my many works in progress. Unfortunately I have picked up the GIANT project of Fabulous Women in History, a stitch-a-long by CloudsFactory from (I believe) 2016. I am nearly two-thirds done. The fabric is a beautiful purple hand dyed linen. I am not very skilled at stitching on linen so it is taking a while (and there are a couple of screw ups). I got this as a kit and the thread it came with is AWFUL.

She also has a few additional historical women available to purchase (wow, did THAT come out sounding wrong!). And the kit came with a coupon for one free one... So OF COURSE my whole third row is out of whack due to massive edits. :D It's going to be great, but first it's going to be a massive pain in the ass.

I think I am going to alternate - 1-3 historical women, then a simpler more mindless project, then more women. Otherwise I will burn out and never finish it.

Support... I think I need support in letting things go. I have some cross stitch WIPs that I'm never going to finish. I have a ton of t-shirts that have sentimental value but I never wear then and they get in the way of finding something I will wear. I have gorgeous jeans that are intensely uncomfortable. I need to get these things out of my house so I can have some space for the things I do use, but it's HARD!

I was all by myself this weekend, so I did a ton of stitching, including many hours on MakeitPink's Ariel, finishing a Mill Hill halloween kit (need to take a picture and put it on insta), starting a Bothy silhouette kit (the Alice ones I did were on this gorgeous hand-dyed aida, this one is on painted aida and it's super scratchy :( ). Otherwise, I read stuff and ate food from a French bakery I hadn't tried before.
