It's another weekend!

Already?! How the f*** does that keep happening...

Much of my brain is occupied with World of Warcraft and planning some upcoming travel. So the main thing I have been making is spreadsheets. :P

I'm working on the t-shirt prototype of dooooooooooom. Currently hating sleeves. Have updated my neckband notes AGAIN to add "stretch here!!" because the stoopid choose-your-own-adventure path I chose through the beautifully illustrated but INCREDIBLY CONFUSING Threads magazine article does not actually say to stretch the neckband at any point. :P

Next up, skirt prototypes with gigantic pockets. Also Mr Diane thinks I should start making quilts for when we move to someplace that actually has seasons. Because I totally need another subgenre of hobby with its own equipment and storage needs...

Oof. Between Confab, Wonderwood Springs and not being sick me getting my Halloween projects done before Halloween is pretty much out of the question. I have written a bit. One thing I wrote I may edit into a stand alone story. Lots of words, but I haven't had the focus to work on the projects I need out the door.

I finally sat down to rewatch the episode I needed to see to refresh my memory before writing a fic. I took notes, too! Love that I can only write canon compliant fics X)

I also did Discord server maintenance for an event I run, and I'm really hoping that using forums for participants to share their wips will work better. It's hard to find a good way for everyone to share their work without it getting burried, but I think this will do the trick.

Got most of the parts for my next keyboard build, so I'm patiently waiting for my switches to come in so I can lube them all. A little nervous cause I've never done it before, but you've got to start somewhere.

I'm trying to cultivate this attitude with my sewing projects! Hopefully you don't require as many practice keyboards as I require practice garments. :D

Haha, hopefully not! I'm sure keyboards are a bit more forgiving to re-dos.

It's hard to give yourself the same kind of grace as you would anyone else new to a hobby. I'm trying to just do things for myself these days and appreciate the enjoyment I personally get from just the experience. I used to go into every hobby with this mindset that if I couldn't master it, it's a waste of time, but it's more fun to just let yourself make mistakes and grow in the process without any real idea of where you want to progress.
