I love getting birthyday presents when it is not my birthyday, and I hope your friend is the same! Keep going! 600 words is definitely a good start, unless you're doing drabbles, in which case, that's SIX completed works!
I've been working on art of a digimon fursona for my nsfw pseudonym/persona Randi. D Bugger. It's a plush version of a wolpertinger (jackalope with wings basically) and is actually filled with a gooey tentacle-ish monster. Because NSFW.
We've also been decorating for Christmas and I have to figure out where the hell I'm going to put my tree in my office because every surface is covered with stuff (thanks ADHD).
And I'm gming an DnD adventure today that I just finished prepping for. I've lead it twice before in Mausritter, but DnD adventures are much hardier than mice.
That art sounds kinky, so I automatically approve, lol!
Hang your christmas tree upside down from the ceiling? It's a real thing that people actually do! And it takes up zero inches of your flat surface organizational system.
The tiles with stitched designs on them are Laughter Club and the quotes are Shana Lee Hampton. There are other fiber artists and other mask makers and wood burners, etc. I have a few unusual materials pics here if you are curious.
That's exactly right! I went with corn because I heard somewhere that rice can cause burns, but considering that the only whole feed corn I could find comes in forty pound/eighteen kilo bags, well. I will hardly be judging anyone who goes with rice instead! (It helps that the aforementioned 40lb/18kg bags are under $15 USD, I will admit. And that I already had a good amount of flannel I needed to use up.)
I should look up the heating temperatures for the various heat pack stuffings. I think we have some stale-by-now jars of popcorn that come in useful for crafting. 🤔
Thanks for the ideas! I hope your project goes well!
I cleared out (most of) my backlog for my review blog.
Since my housemates are currently on a 3-week trip to Europe*, I decided to be nice and take down the Halloween decorations from the yard. Since it's almost Christmas and all. Most of the decorations were pumpkin/ghost/cat/spider leaf bags. I filled up the burn barrel and I still had two bags left over that got tipped down the ditch. The burn barrel is still smoldering, six hours after I started. I am very tired.
*They earned it. Irish Storyteller sold a trailer and postage-stamp-sized bit of land he had in nearby Tourist Trap after spending all spring and summer fixing it up and dealing with the asshole neighbor. The best part? Asshole neighbor is now living next to real estate lawyers. Insert maniacal laugh of schadenfreude here.
