Another busy weekend?

What are you up to? What have you gotten done? What are you looking forward to?

I'm not 100% sure what a Pirate Fest is (like a cosplay thing?) but yay for dressing up! :D

I am absolutely struggling to finish a charity auction story from last year. Spring break is over so I'll be heading home tomorrow maybe that'll free up time for me

I bound off on my knit scarf that I've been working on. I still have to weave in the ends.

I need to swatch more for my next knit project.

Working on a reference sheet for my comic character! It certainly isn't easy, but I've been having fun with it!

bookscorpion: This is Chelifer cancroides, a book scorpion. Not a real scorpion, but an arachnid called a pseudoscorpion for obvious reasons. (Default)

I chipped away at the latest chapter of my ongoing Witcher fic, and at a Witcher oneshot for an event. I also did some needlefelting, and ordered more wool (in part for felting, in part because my partner got me a spinning wheel and I need to be prepared for when it gets here LOL)
Next week, I need to come up with some Litha-themed prompts and a colour palette, and hopefully finish the chapter.

Felt unproductive, but I guess what I did was try out Obsidian as a tool for making my ongoing website project easier. Maddeningly, there isn't a way to just make it export all your notes as vanilla HTML, which makes it too limited for what I need (that is, a pleasurable program for me to write in and do updates over time, plus a one-click 'now this is a website'. The plugin obsidian-html will do this, and very elegantly, but it ends up looking a particular way and the source code it spits out is nasty. I like hand-coded websites!)

So in a roundabout way - that IS progress, as I've ruled something out. I'm going to try and round off the weekend by uploading my new pages the old fashioned way.

edit to add: Obsidian is absolutely banging though, if you're the sort of person who uses computing for text and enjoy tinkering with your utilities till they are perfect. So satisfying.

Finally finished an art piece that I had to leave half finished because of work. It feels so good to finally have it done.

I have created... many packed boxes, many donations to the local charity shop, and multiple panic-inducing calculations about how much more stuff we need to get rid of.

On the plus side, the first road trip (and some advice from coworkers about pet-friendly hotels) means we also have a super solid plan for the next road trip.

I also got my car serviced, and mostly got my prescriptions sorted out.

I am looking forward to this move being DONE.

What are you up to? Yesterday husbando and I went to the Lansing Home & Garden Show and had a fabulous time. Some highlights included the Flower Show, the Birds of Prey demonstration, and a Succulent Bar (not for drinks, but for making little potted succulent displays)!

What have you gotten done? Today we built the next bookcase for our Library (2nd of 10), and moved one of the old bookcases up to the 2nd floor for repurposing. This project has been in the works many many months, so it feels good to get one step closer to the finished room.

What are you looking forward to? Participating in the 121st Crowdfunding Creative Jam. This month's theme is "Beating the Odds."
