What I'm currently up to is trying to make sure I haven't missed anything for my taxes, so I can get them done despite having bronchitis. It's not nearly as much fun as the songs over on Patreon, but it's necessary.
I'm working on a cloth doll for a friend's nibling's birthday. It's been a while since I made anything plush with cloth, so it's a learning experience!
I love that it's Thursday morning (in my timezone - even earlier in other timezones). :D :D
I had to change computers because my old one died a few days ago, and this one doesn't seem to cooperate super well with my drawing software and/or hardware? I haven't tried it for more than a couple of minutes yet (I took a break from drawing for these few days because this sounded a bit too stressful to deal with), but I really want to go back and see, maybe it will be okay after all. :D I already miss drawing, and have some really exciting ideas! ♡
There have been a few exchange reveals of my art recently: Cat Paradise (Star Trek: Lower Decks, T'Ana, G) Flower Queen (Star Trek: Picard, Raffi, G) Ritual (The Hunger Games books, Katniss & Prim, G)
We had no electricity all week - I'm an old hand at being really conscious of how I use the internet/screen time under normal circumstances anyway, but it was a pleasure all the same to discover *just how much more* being cut off entirely is. Childhood boredom. Motivating enough to dig out some drawing books and actually do the basic activities.
I'm using How To Render by Scott Robertson & Thomas Bertling. Rendering is 'light and shade of objects' and I can now do some pretty impressive 3D boxes in different colours. It's amazing how fast you learn when doing basics so long as the explanation is concice and clear, I can feel my brain rewiring around the new skills and it's fab.
