Would you believe it's the weekend again already?
What are you working on this week? What have you finished? Is there anything you need help with? And does anyone want a recipe for homemade dog treats?

Date: 2023-06-25 04:52 am (UTC)This week, I wrote a super smutty fanfic for
I created some completely clean laundry, though it's not yet hanging up.
I created some rules for a TTRPG system using Uno cards.
Oh, and yesterday my family hosted a party for all dog lovers in the neighborhood, including any and all dogs who are okay with that sort of situation. I may have given away a few too many of the treats I make for our family's dog (Molly, a dachshund-terrier mix), and will have to make more on Monday.
My recipe:
1 Cup peanut butter
1 Banana, mashed
1 Cup flour, any kind (I use buckwheat flour)
Mix together. Make the size you want. (I tend to roll tubes about 1cm in diameter, then cut them about 1cm long. But I've also pressed the dough out flat and made little rectangles with a pizza cutter.)
Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes, or until done.
Store in the freezer.

Date: 2023-06-25 01:07 pm (UTC)In the non-creative side: started sorting out which books I'll give away. I want the house as empty as possible when we leave.
Dog treats: my dog's favorite is my right hand. I guess my fingers are pleasant to bite.

Date: 2023-06-25 02:02 pm (UTC)I have recently been having days where I should not be allowed to touch physical objects. So I am spending the time trying to learn. I have relented on my usual hatred of videos and am watching the Ultimate Beginner Quilt playlist from Fat Quarter Shop on Youtube. I think this is the link: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNTabBf7OG9I-atRF_8tbCEX0Oq1TYaat I appreciate watching someone do all of the things including the fiddly details. It's kinda nice that the videos take as long as the thing takes: no miraculous cuts to 30 minutes later and "here's one I prepared earlier". On the other hand, the videos take as long as the thing takes, and my attention tends to wander. I have made liberal use of watching at 1.5x speed and captions. It's also wonderful that she normalizes having small mess-ups and you get to see how to fix them.
With much executive function donated by Mr Diane, I have also created a fixed car, and we are in the process of creating an updated kitchen.
I feel like I have not gotten a lot done, but I'm exhausted just looking at this!

Date: 2023-06-25 04:38 pm (UTC)But this week looks better. Hopefully, this week I can write some, edit some, and do my tarot readings. I've been doing the tarot, but that's it.
Lately, just going to work has been work enough for me. Hopefully, things will get better as the week goes along. We were supposed to go to Hoopfest in Spokane, but that fell through as my brother developed a kidney stone.
Here's hoping the week ahead is better....

Date: 2023-06-25 10:13 pm (UTC)I'm working on putting things away from the trip to grandpa's, and there's still RenFaire stuff to put up. But mostly I'm working on some character art.

Date: 2023-06-27 12:45 am (UTC)i designed some brochures for our local state furry groups to be put around anthrocon, which is upcoming next weekend! i can't attend this year and i'm pretty bummed about that, but i'm pretty proud of these! it's always fun for me to take things that were digital and make them tactile in some way

my current 'hmmmm maybe i'll give that a try.....' thing i'm eyeing is carving rubber stamps. i saw an artist on insta using pink erasers and i thought that was SO NEAT and might be a fun, small, and CHEAP way to play around with it and see if it's something i like doing

Date: 2023-06-27 04:06 am (UTC)Those are some good looking brochures! Very professional, very clear and easy to understand. Well done!
Oh, snazzy; I had to do an ink stamp thing when I was in junior high, but we used a large piece of ...rubber tile or something? And I was terrible at cutting deep enough 😂 Erasers seem like they'd be a lot easier to work with, and possibly more fun. Sounds like a great project, overall!
