It's another weekend. What have you gotten done? What do you need encouragement on? What are you working on? Are there any cool events going on?

Date: 2024-04-14 05:04 am (UTC)Not an event so much as an ongoing challenge... DIY Vivarium. Have not done a DIY background before. It's going, under-resourced and inexperienced, but going. My fingers are still in pain after an hour of picking excess foam off of cork.
I have learned: Foam is easy if you leave it alone to cure, and it will make a soft happy cushion to support whatever it needs to. If it's moved after it's begun to set, it will develop very tough armor and big empty spaces from being repeatedly agitated and torn open, and WILL NOT bond to new things very well. Much like a person. I think foam and I have something in common.

Date: 2024-04-14 03:50 pm (UTC)I finished the final Pusheen cross stitch from the kit of 3. Needless to say they came out with another kit (Christmas Pusheen!) which I immediately bought. That's probably on deck for today - I'm having a friend over to do crafts and have snacks in a couple of hours. :)

Date: 2024-04-14 04:00 pm (UTC)I am working on writing. I have restarted the science fiction novel and am not sure if I like that I have restarted, and am looking at things I want to keep and not keep and should do an actual outline this time. Also, there's a convention in July so I'm making a Viktor from Arcane cosplay and am enlisting my boyfriend's help as he's got experience in tailoring.
Done!
