i finished arranging a song i was working on!! i realised i have produced around half an hour of music since the year began. i'm just doing covers right now (so i can focus on the production side, and practice transcribing melodies and chords i like) - but after a few years where i wasn't making anything musical, that feels really good, especially as i can see that i am improving with each song i finish. having a DAW that actually works for me helps immeasurably (i was using cubase, but moved to fl studio which is much better suited for midi and sampling). now to mix it, and send it to my friend who wants to collab with me. aaah!
