I'm packing to move house. I have catalogued 350 cookery books on libib so far. My books will be done when we've moved but he wants his done before we move.

Made more progress on my original comic and made character designs, learned some tricks.

Also I did some important drawing and writing related practice. I underestimated how much storytelling you can do with only 1 page and 5 panels.

Idk it wasn't as productive though, I've been really tired emotionally and physically and I still have to plan for Christmas and the card I'm sending to a friend

Today was SO PEOPLEY. I went out and finished Christmas shopping. And there were people. Everywhere. This is why I shop online! I don't want to go out and see what things are. I want to sit in my blankets and hide.

I'm peopled out. Severely peopled out. But now I have blankies, and cats, and I can hide until tomorrow night. (When I have to go out again, because Dad's birthday dinner.)

I got through all of the easy, light-colored stitching on the Halloween Mill Hill kit. Now it's a gothic nightmare of dark (everything) on black. I may end up putting it away until spring when there's more light.

I haven't been feeling well this weekend, which sucks. I got my flu and Covid shots (yay!) which left me feeling a bit sluggish. Then I ate too many treats and gave myself a tummyache. :(

Today I had a brainwave and realized that I could take these 3 finished Christmas Pusheen cross stitches and turn them into something suitable for hanging on the tree! For backing, I have some scrap fabric that is a lovely festive red. Unfortunately getting the sewing machine out is a hassle so (in my wisdom) I decided to try hand sewing. It's a bit of a slog. But I haven't drawn blood yet so I've got that going for me.

If I'm really with-it I may even post pictures to my journal. No promises.

What have you been watching or reading?

Edit: just saw this!

I have been watching Junior Taskmaster which is a hoot. I'm reading The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury and ... wow, it's a product of its time (late 1940s). Very good, but I frequently got tired of the Earth Men and had to put it down for a bit. Previously I read Machine Vendetta by Alastair Reynolds (third book in a trilogy), highly recommend

I haven't been feeling great between tummy troubles & my wrist acting up. I have been playing a lot of balder's gate 3 with my partner. Today I've done some cooking. I started bread dough & made a batch of pupusas filled with refried beans, pickled veg & mozzarella cheese.
